It is considered a "leftist" party, meaning it often supports ideas like social equality and helping ordinary people. The Jatiya Gana Front was formed in 1995. Working with Other Groups

Joining Forces for Change

In November 2007, the Jatiya Gana Front teamed up with ten other leftist political parties. They formed a group called the Gonotantrik Bam Morcha. This group worked together to ask for important changes in Bangladesh.

What They Asked For

The Gonotantrik Bam Morcha group made 15 demands. One main demand was for the Fakhruddin Ahmed caretaker government to end the special rules of a state of emergency. They also wanted to allow political activities to happen freely across the country.

Demands for a Better Future

Later, in May 2010, the Jatiya Gana Front again joined most other leftist political parties. They worked together to create a list of 11 demands. These demands focused on important areas like the economy, fairness in justice, stopping corruption, and preventing people in power from misusing their authority.
