The village of Jausa has a long history. It was first written about in the year 1564. Back then, it was called Joosz dorp.
For many years, Jausa was connected to large estates. These estates were known as manors. The village was part of both Aadma Manor and Putkaste Manor. Manors were like big farms or country houses with land around them.
