Javier Fernández Aguado (born in Madrid in 1961) is a Spanish expert in Management, which is about how to lead and organize groups or businesses effectively. He is also a well-known author.

He earned his PhD in Economics from the Complutense University in Madrid in 1996. He has received important awards, including the J. A. Artigas National Award for Best Research in Social Sciences in 1997. In 2008, he won the Peter Drucker Award for Innovation in Management in the USA. He is the only Spanish writer to have received this special award. Today, he is the president of MindValue, a company focused on management.

Fernández Aguado has written many books, more than thirty-three in total! Some of his books are part of a special collection named after him, published by LID Editorial. He has also created different methods for understanding and improving how organizations work. For example, he developed models like "Managing the Imperfect" and "Organizational Pathologies" to help diagnose problems in companies. He also created methods for change, such as "Feelings Management," "Will Management," and "Management by Habits." These ideas help people manage their emotions, willpower, and daily routines within a company.

Many experts have studied his ideas. Over three hundred books and essays have analyzed his work. Twenty of these studies were put together in a book called Management Challenges for the XXI Century by British brand consultant Christopher Smith. Famous thinkers like Eduardo Punset and Nuria Chinchilla also contributed to this book.

In 2010, a special meeting was held in Madrid to study his work. About 600 experts from twelve countries in Europe and America attended this event. A book with all the talks from the meeting was published a few months later.
