Jay James O'Brien (born February 22, 1883 – died April 5, 1940) was an American athlete. He was famous for competing in bobsledding. Bobsledding is a winter sport where teams race down icy tracks in a special sled. Jay O'Brien won two medals at the Winter Olympics. He was also known for being the oldest Olympic champion at 48 years old.

What makes this even more special is that he was 48 years old at the time. This made him the oldest person to ever win an Olympic gold medal.
