Starting Young
Jean-Claude Schindelholz was born in a place called Moutier in Switzerland. He started playing football for his hometown team, FC Moutier, when he was just 17 years old. He was a big help to his team! In 1962, he helped FC Moutier get promoted to a higher league called the Nationalliga B. This was a great achievement for the club.
Playing for His Country
Jean-Claude also got to play for his country, Switzerland. He played in 13 international matches for the Swiss team. He scored one goal for Switzerland between April 1964 and October 1966.
He even played in the 1966 FIFA World Cup! This is one of the biggest football tournaments in the world. Switzerland played against West Germany in that tournament, and it was a tough game.
