Jean-Luc Thérier (born October 7, 1945, died July 31, 2019) was a famous French rally driver. Rally driving is a type of car racing. He was one of the top drivers in the early years of the World Rally Championship.
In 1973, he was the driver who earned the most points in the first World Rally Championship. He was also the only driver to win three big events that year. Back then, the championship title was given to car manufacturers, not individual drivers. So, Jean-Luc's team, Alpine-Renault, won the title.
