Jeanna Vladimirovna Friske (Russian: Жанна Владимировна Фриске; born Jeanna Vladimirovna Kopylova; 8 July 1974 – 15 June 2015), also known as Zhanna Friske, was a popular Russian singer, actress, and model. She was a member of the famous girl group Blestyashchiye before starting her own successful solo career.

Her Early Life and Family
Jeanna Friske was born in Moscow, Russia. Her father, Vladimir Kopylov, later changed his last name to Friske. Jeanna went to secondary school No. 406 in Moscow. After school, she started studying journalism at Moscow State University, but she decided to leave to follow her dreams in music and acting.
Jeanna had a son named Platon with her partner, Dmitry Shepelev, who is a Russian singer and TV host. Their son was born in Miami, Florida, in April 2013.
Becoming a Star
Jeanna Friske became well-known when she joined the music group Blestyashchiye in 1996. The group recorded four albums and performed many shows for their fans.
In 2003, Jeanna decided to leave Blestyashchiye to start her own career. She wanted to sing on her own, act in movies, and work as a model.
Solo Music Career
Jeanna's first solo album, called Jeanna, was released in 2005. It was very popular in Russia and other Russian-speaking countries. One of her most successful songs was I Was, which reached the top of the Russian music charts. Other popular songs included I am Flying Into the Darkness, La–La-La, and Somewhere in Summer.
Acting and TV Shows
Jeanna Friske was also a talented actress. She appeared in several movies, often playing strong and interesting characters.
Famous Movie Roles
She played the character Alisa Donnikova in the fantasy films Night Watch (2004) and Day Watch (2006). She even did many of her own stunts in these movies!
In 2010, she played herself in the movie What Men Talk About. She also had a main role in the detective film Who Am I?, which came out in 2010.
Jeanna also lent her voice to animated movies. She was the Russian voice for Holley Shiftwell in Pixar's Cars 2.
Reality TV and Skating
Besides music and movies, Jeanna also took part in reality TV shows. She was on The last hero-4 in 2003 and The last hero-5 in 2005. These shows were like survival challenges.
In 2008, she showed off her ice skating skills on the TV show Ice Age 2, where she skated with professional partners.
Illness and Passing
In January 2014, Jeanna Friske's family shared sad news. She had been diagnosed with a serious type of brain cancer. She had found out about her illness two months before her son was born. Doctors offered her treatment during her pregnancy, but she bravely chose to wait to protect her baby.
Sadly, Jeanna's health worsened. She passed away on 15 June 2015, at the age of 40. She is remembered by many for her talent and strength.
