For example, he played Jay in the TV series Unreal from 2015 to 2018. He also served as one of the main judges on the first season of Canada's Drag Race in 2020.

Jeffrey's Early Life

Jeffrey was born in Edmonton, Alberta, in 1984. He was adopted when he was just 12 days old. His last name, Bowyer-Chapman, comes from his adoptive parents. His younger brother, Cleyon Laing, is a professional football player for the Toronto Argonauts. Jeffrey's biological father is from Jamaica.

He grew up with his sister in Rimbey, Alberta. This was a small town with fewer than 2,000 people. People sometimes called it "the Texas of the north." Jeffrey described the area as focused on oil, gas, farming, and ranching. Growing up as a biracial person in this small town was a unique experience for him. He felt he had to learn a lot and grow up quickly in some unusual situations.

Jeffrey lived in Rimbey until he was a teenager. Then he moved to Vancouver. At 15, he started traveling the world as a model. He visited countries in Europe, South Africa, and all across North America. Later, at age 21, he returned to Vancouver. This is when he started focusing more on his acting career.
