Jensens Bøfhus is a well-known Danish restaurant chain. It's famous for its steaks and other tasty dishes. The name means "Jensen's Beef House." In September 2018, there were 33 of these restaurants. Most of them were in Denmark. Others were in Sweden and Norway.

About Jensens Bøfhus

How It Started

Jensens Bøfhus began in 1984. A person named Palle Skov Jensen opened the very first restaurant. It was in a city called Aarhus in Denmark. Back then, it had a different name: Bøfhus España.

The restaurant chain grew over time. In 1990, the name changed to Jensens Bøfhus. By that time, there were four restaurants. The company tried to open a restaurant in Germany. This was in a city called Lübeck. However, they decided to close it in 2016.

Challenges and Changes

At one point, some people in Denmark felt upset with Jensens Bøfhus. This happened after the company had a disagreement with a small fish restaurant. Jensens Bøfhus felt the small restaurant was using a name too similar to theirs. They took legal action and won the case. This made some people feel that the big company was being unfair to the smaller one.

In 2018, some Jensens Bøfhus restaurants in Denmark closed down. This happened because the company was losing money.

Who Owns It?

As of late 2018, Palle Skov Jensen still owned the restaurant chain. He is the same person who started it all.
