Jerome Opoku's Club Journey
Jerome Opoku started his football journey in the youth teams. He played for Fulham's Under-23 team. He even became the captain of the Fulham U23 team at the end of the 2018–19 season.
Loans for Experience
To gain more experience playing in professional matches, Jerome was sent on loan to other clubs.
- On September 2, 2019, he joined Accrington Stanley, a team in League One. He played his first game for them on September 7, 2019. In an interview, he said he was ready to play wherever his coach needed him.
- On September 25, 2020, he moved to another League One team, Plymouth Argyle, on loan until January.
- On July 30, 2021, Jerome went on loan again. This time, he played for Vejle Boldklub, a club in the Danish Superliga (Denmark's top league). He stayed there for the whole 2021–22 season.
Playing in Portugal and Turkey
After his loan spells, Jerome Opoku began playing for clubs outside of England.
- On June 24, 2022, he joined Arouca, a team in Portugal's top league, the Primeira Liga. He signed a three-year contract with them.
- On September 14, 2023, Jerome extended his contract with Arouca until 2026. Right after that, he was loaned to İstanbul Başakşehir in Turkey for the season. This club plays in the Süper Lig, Turkey's highest football league.
