Jerry Nelson Palacios Suazo (born November 1, 1981) is a former professional footballer from Honduras. He played as a striker, which means his main job was to score goals for his team.
Club Career Highlights
Jerry Palacios played for many different football clubs during his career. He started his senior career with Olimpia in Honduras. He spent seven years there, though he also played for F.C. Motagua and Vida during that time.
In 2010, Jerry moved to Asia to play for Hangzhou Greentown, a team in the Chinese Super League. After playing in China, he returned to Honduras to play for Marathón again.
Later, he joined Platense in Honduras. In December 2012, he moved to Costa Rica to play for Alajuelense.
Jerry went back to Asia in 2014, joining a Malaysian club called ATM FA. In 2016, he returned to Honduras to play for Real Sociedad. His last known club was Belmopan Bandits in Belize, which he joined in 2019.
Playing for Honduras
Jerry Palacios also played for the national team of Honduras. He made his first appearance for his country in March 2002 in a friendly match against the USA.
World Cup Brothers
A very special moment in Jerry's career happened at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. He was part of the Honduran squad along with his two brothers, Johnny and Wilson. This was a historic event because they became the first group of three brothers to play for the same country in a World Cup tournament! Jerry was added to the team after another player, Julio César de León, got injured.
Jerry also represented Honduras in the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Personal Life
Jerry Palacios comes from a family of footballers. His brothers Milton, Wilson, and Johnny are also professional football players. He also had another brother named Edwin.
