First appearances (2009)
In 2009, Jesse Neal signed a contract with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). He first appeared at an event called Destination X. He wore his Navy uniform and helped introduce a wrestling match. He also sang "God Bless America".
On April 9, he appeared on Impact!, TNA's main TV show. Another TNA wrestler, Rhino, offered to train him. Jesse Neal's first match for TNA was on June 4, where he lost to Matt Morgan.
Rhino began training Jesse, but he often got frustrated with Jesse's mistakes. In a tag team match, Jesse made a "rookie mistake" and lost the match for his team. After the match, Rhino attacked Jesse, showing he was now a "bad guy" (heel). Brother Devon then helped Jesse, and Team 3D decided to train him at their wrestling school.
Working with Team 3D (2009–2010)
While Jesse Neal was away from TV, Team 3D and Rhino argued about their future in TNA. On November 19, Jesse returned to Impact! with a new look. He had a spiked mohawk and piercings. He helped Team 3D and Rhino win a match, becoming a "bad guy" (heel) himself. His trainers said he was "the real future of TNA."
When Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff took over TNA in 2010, Jesse's storyline with Rhino and Team 3D ended. Team 3D became "good guys" (face) again. Jesse returned to Impact! on February 4, losing quickly to Samoa Joe. On February 25, Jesse became a "good guy" again and helped Team 3D win a match.
Ink Inc. (2010–2011)
On April 26, Jesse Neal teamed up with Matt Morgan. However, Morgan turned on Jesse. After this, Shannon Moore came out and helped Jesse. This led to the creation of a new tag team called Ink Inc..
On May 3, Ink Inc. won their first match as a team. The next week, they won a big four-way match. At the Sacrifice event, Ink Inc. tried to win the TNA World Tag Team Championship but lost. Brother Ray turned on Jesse during this time.
Ink Inc. continued to wrestle in tag team matches and tournaments. They won their first pay-per-view match at Bound for Glory. On January 10, 2011, Jesse Neal signed a new three-year contract with TNA.
Ink Inc. challenged for the TNA World Tag Team Championship again at Victory Road but did not win. At Lockdown, Ink Inc. won a four-team steel cage match. This made them the top challengers for the tag team titles.
Before a show on May 2, Jesse Neal, in his Navy uniform, led the crowd in singing "The Star-Spangled Banner". On May 15 at Sacrifice, Ink Inc. lost to Mexican America. Jesse Neal got a neck injury during this match, which kept him from wrestling for four months.
Ink Inc. returned on September 22, attacking Mexican America. On October 13, Toxxin joined Ink Inc. to help them. At the Bound for Glory Preshow, Ink Inc. again tried to win the tag team titles but failed.
On November 17, Jesse Neal announced he was leaving TNA. His last match for TNA was on December 15, where he was attacked by Gunner and carried out of the arena.
