Jesús Armando Amaya Contreras (born 24 August 1969) is a professional golfer from Colombia. He is known for winning many golf tournaments throughout his career.

Jesús Amaya was born in Bogotá, the capital city of Colombia. Before he became a professional golfer in 1991, he worked as a caddie. A caddie is someone who carries a golfer's clubs and helps them on the course. He worked at the Club Popular de Golf La Florida.

Amaya has won many times on the Colombian Golf Federation circuit. This includes winning the important Colombian Open three times. He has also won six tournaments on the Tour de las Américas. This is a series of golf tournaments held in North and South America. In 2015, he achieved a huge milestone by winning his 100th tournament!

Jesús Amaya has also proudly represented his country, Colombia, five times at the World Cup of golf. This is a big international team competition.
