Jigsaw Jones Mysteries facts for kids
The Jigsaw Jones Mysteries is a popular series of detective books for young readers. Written by American author James Preller, these books are published by Scholastic Corporation. The first book came out in 1998. Since then, 32 regular mysteries and 6 Super Special mysteries have been released. A new book was planned for August 2017.

Meet the Characters in Jigsaw Jones
The series features a fun cast of characters. They help Jigsaw solve mysteries or are part of the puzzles he needs to crack.
Main Detectives
- Theodore "Jigsaw" Jones is the main character. He is a young detective who loves solving mysteries. He once said he was the first detective in his second-grade class!
- Mila Yeh is Jigsaw's best friend and his detective partner. They work together on many cases.

Jigsaw and Mila spend a lot of time with their classmates.
- Bigs Maloney is known as one of the nicest and strongest kids in second grade.
- Miss Gleason is the class teacher for Room 201.
- Lucy Hiller is another student in Jigsaw's class.
- Bobby Solofsky is sometimes a rival detective to Jigsaw.
- Jasper "Stringbean" Noonan got his nickname because he is very thin.

- Billy, Daniel, and Nick are Jigsaw's older brothers.
- Hillary is Jigsaw's older sister.
- Rags is Jigsaw's dog.
- Grams is Jigsaw's grandmother.

- Mike and Mary own a shop called Our Daily Bread and brownies. Their shop is near the school, and they are family friends of the Jones family.
- Marc (Red Cap) is a teenager who lives near Our Bread and Pita. He is a friend to Jigsaw, Mike, and Mary.
- Reginard Armitage Pinkerton III is the wealthiest kid in town.
- Chase Jackson is a friend of Jigsaw. He is also the star of a TV show called Spy Guy. Chase appeared in book #31, The Case of the Spoiled Rotten Spy.
