Jimmy Robinson's Acting Career
Jimmy Robinson began his acting career when he was quite young. He became well-known for his role as "Hambone" Johnson. This character was part of the Mickey McGuire film series. These were short films based on Fontaine Fox's comic strip.
He was in the Mickey McGuire series from its very beginning in 1927. He continued acting in it until the series ended in 1934. Jimmy appeared in almost all of the short films in the series.
While working on Mickey McGuire, Jimmy also acted in other movies. These included films like Tenderfeet and Penrod and Sam. After the Mickey McGuire series finished, Jimmy kept acting. However, he mostly played smaller roles in movies.
Later Life and Passing
Jimmy Robinson passed away on November 2, 1967. He was 49 years old at the time. He died from an illness at his home in California.
