João Maria Manzarra is a super popular Portuguese TV host! He mainly works on the SIC Radical network. You might know him best as the co-host of Ídolos, which is the Portuguese version of the famous Idol series. He hosted it for three years and is now one of the most loved presenters on Portuguese television.

João Manzarra's TV Journey
João Manzarra started by studying Social Communication at a university. But he soon stopped his studies to begin his exciting career in television!
Early Shows
His first big show was Curto Circuito. For two and a half years, João hosted this show where people called in directly. There were no prepared scripts, so João had to be quick and creative with his words! This made him a very popular host.
In 2009, João co-hosted two more shows. These were SIC ao Vivo with José Figueiras and Liliana Campos. He also co-hosted TGV (which stands for Todos Gostam do Verão, meaning "Everyone Likes Summer") with Carolina Patrocínio.
Hosting Ídolos
From 2009 onwards, João became super famous for hosting Ídolos. This is the Portuguese version of the Idol series where people compete to become the next singing star. He hosted it for three seasons in a row, alongside Cláudia Vieira. The show was very popular, and it made João a huge star in Portugal!
In 2010, João was even nominated for a special award called the Portuguese Golden Globes. He was nominated for "Revelation of the Year," which means he was recognized as a fantastic new talent!
Other Popular Shows
After his big success with Ídolos, João hosted another popular TV show on SIC. This show was Achas que Sabes Dançar?, which is the Portuguese version of So You Think You Can Dance. It started in April 2010 and was a hit!
Because so many people love João, he has also worked with different companies to promote their products. He also helps out with charities, which means he uses his fame to do good things for others.
