Joana grew up in Santander, a port city on the northern coast of Spain. This city is in the Cantabria region. Later, she moved to Suances, which is also in Cantabria.
Her dance teacher, Marta Rojo, remembered Joana as a very energetic person. Marta Rojo told El Espanol that Joana had a lot of desire to dance. She saw Joana as a dancer from the very beginning. Joana started her official dance training in 2010.
Joana Sainz was the main dancer and head choreographer for a group called the Super Hollywood Orchestra. This group was famous for their exciting shows. They used many special effects, like fireworks, to make their performances amazing.
A Sad Accident
Joana Sainz died on September 1, 2019. She was performing in front of about 1,000 people at a music festival. The festival was held in Las Berlanas and lasted for four days.
During her performance, a special effect device exploded near her. This device was a pyrotechnic device, which uses small explosions for entertainment. A part from the device hit her. This caused her death.
