Johanna Thydell is a Swedish writer. She was born on November 14, 1980, in Nässjö, Sweden. She is famous for writing books for young people. Her book In the Ceiling the Stars Are Shining, published in 2003, won a very important award called the August Prize.
Her Journey as a Writer
Johanna grew up in a town called Värnamo. After finishing high school, she took a special writing course. This course helped her meet writer Magnus Utvik. He guided her and helped her become an author.
She also studied at Fridhems Folk High School in Svalöv. There, she focused on writing. Later, she took culture courses at Stockholm University. These courses taught her about literature and film. In 2004, she was even a host for a popular radio show called Sommar.
