John Bowman (born 1651, died 1739) was a British actor who performed on stage. He started his acting career with a group called the Duke's Company. They performed at the Dorset Garden Theatre. In 1692, he married Elizabeth Watson, who was also an actress. She was known as Elizabeth Bowman on stage. Later, he moved to act at another famous theatre, the Drury Lane Theatre. Sometimes, his name was spelled a bit differently, like John Boman.
