John Bridgeman (around 1655–1729) was an English politician. He lived in Prinknash Park, which is in Gloucestershire.
He served as a Member of Parliament (MP) for Gloucester. This means he was elected to represent the people of Gloucester in the Parliament of England. He held this important role from February to November in the year 1701.
John Bridgeman's Family Life
John Bridgeman married the daughter of Sir Charles Berkeley. Her family owned large areas of land in Gloucestershire. When Sir Charles Berkeley passed away, his daughter inherited these estates.
What Happened After He Died?
John Bridgeman died in 1729. After his death, his wife took charge of the family lands. These lands were located around Gloucester. Today, part of these lands is known as Prinknash Abbey.
