John Crunden facts for kids
John Crunden (born around 1741, died 1828) was an English architect and designer. He created plans for country houses, fancy villas, and even furniture.
About John Crunden's Designs
John Crunden got many of his early ideas from another famous designer named Thomas Chippendale. Crunden made a huge number of designs. He published these designs in many books.
Some of his most exciting designs were for ceilings. He often drew cute little angels (called cupids) with bows and arrows. He also drew figures like "Fame" blowing a trumpet. Crunden loved to use themes from sports and nature too. For example, one of his ceiling designs showed a hunting scene where animals were being caught.
