The Museum Building
The museum is located at 397 Main Street in Hyannis. It is inside an old building that used to be the Hyannis Town Hall. This means it was once the main office for the town's government. The town offices stayed in this building until the 1980s. After that, they moved to a different building. That new building used to be a school called the Hyannis State Normal School.
Baseball History at the Museum
For a few years, from 2008 to 2017, the basement of the museum building held another interesting place. This was the Cape Cod Baseball League Hall of Fame and Museum. The Cape Cod Baseball League is a famous summer baseball league. Many future professional baseball players have played there.
