Between 2017 and 2019, a special project began. Instead of fully restoring the house, its roof was removed. The remaining walls were carefully preserved. This created something called a "constructed ruin." It's like a permanent outdoor exhibit. This ruin now serves as an interpretive center. It helps visitors learn about the house and its history.
