Becoming a Member of Parliament

He was elected again as an MP for Gloucestershire in 1604. This happened because the previous MP, Sir Richard Berkeley, had passed away. John Throckmorton took his place. We don't know if he was related to Sir Richard Berkeley. He might have been from the Throckmorton family of Coughton Court, who were distant relatives of the Throckmortons of Tortworth.

John Throckmorton passed away sometime before 1623. He did not have any children.
