John Bowman Duncan (born December 7, 1923 – died February 8, 2016) was an American actor. He was best known for playing Robin, the Boy Wonder, in the 1949 movie series Batman and Robin. Besides acting, he also managed several businesses. He often met fans at comic book events and collector shows around the world.

Early Life and Career
Johnny Duncan learned to dance the Jitterbug when he was a teenager. By age 19, he had a big dance role in the musical The Gang's All Here. This movie featured the "King of Swing," Benny Goodman. This helped start Duncan's career as a movie dancer and actor.
He then appeared in many other films. He even signed a contract with 20th Century Fox. There, he worked with famous child stars like Shirley Temple and Jane Withers.
Famous Roles
Johnny Duncan played important parts in several movies. These include films like The East Side Kids and The Bowery Boys. He also appeared in Mystery of the 13th Guest.
His most famous role was in the 1949 movie series Batman and Robin. In this series, he played Dick Grayson / Robin, the Boy Wonder. It's interesting that he was 25 years old when he played the teenage Boy Wonder because he looked so young!
Later, he had smaller roles in other films. One of these was Plan 9 from Outer Space. He was also a member of The Black Rebels Motorcycle Club in the classic movie The Wild One (1952), which starred Marlon Brando. His last movie appearance was in the 1960 film Spartacus.
Meeting Fans
Johnny Duncan sometimes went to movie conventions. He would often sign photos from his movies, especially The East Side Kids and Batman and Robin. He continued to do this until he passed away in February 2016, at the age of 92.
