Johnny's Football Journey
Playing for Clubs
Johnny started his professional football journey with F.C. Motagua in Honduras. He joined them in December 2008 and played there until 2012. His first official game in the Honduran league was on April 19, 2009. During his time with Motagua, he played in 83 league matches and scored nine goals.
In January 2013, Johnny looked for a chance to play football outside of Honduras. He signed a contract in February 2013 to play in the MLS for Vancouver Whitecaps FC in Canada.
Later, in 2015, Johnny moved to Mexico. He joined a team called Correcaminos UAT which played in the Ascenso MX league. After that, he returned to play for several teams in Honduras, including C.D. Marathón, Real C.D. España, and C.D. Olimpia. He also played for Lobos UPNFM. Since 2024, he has been playing for A.D. Guanacasteca in Costa Rica.

Johnny Leverón has proudly represented Honduras in many international football tournaments.
Youth Teams
He played for the Honduras U17 team at the 2007 Pan American Games in Brazil. He was the captain of the U17 team and scored three goals. He also played in the 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Korea and the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Egypt.
Senior National Team
Johnny made his first appearance for the senior Honduras team in April 2010. This was in a friendly match against Venezuela. By January 2013, he had played 22 games for his country and scored 3 goals. He also played in a FIFA World Cup qualification match and represented Honduras at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He also took part in the 2011 UNCAF Nations Cup and the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup. In total, he has played 45 games for the senior national team, scoring 4 goals.
