Johnsville, also known as Shauck, is a small place in Ohio, United States. It's not a city or town with its own government. Instead, it's called an unincorporated community. You can find it in the northern part of Perry Township in Morrow County. Johnsville has its own post office where people send and receive mail. The special code for mail there is 43349. This community is easy to find because it sits right where two main roads meet: U.S. Route 42 and State Route 314.
History of Johnsville
Johnsville has an interesting past! It was first planned out in 1834. This means someone decided where the streets and buildings would go. The community was named after a person named John Ely. He was the "proprietor," which means he owned the land or helped start the settlement. Even though the community is called Johnsville, its post office has a different name: Shauck. This post office is even older than the community itself! It was first opened way back in 1824.
