He was a member of two political groups: the Radical Party from 1948 to 1971, and later the Radical Left Party from 1971 to 1973. He served in the Chilean government as a member of the Chamber of Deputies (like a representative) from 1957 to 1961. After that, he became a Senator (a higher-ranking politician) from 1961 to 1969.
Gómez Gallo was born in a city called Antofagasta. He passed away in Santiago when he was 95 years old.
