Musical Career

Starting with I Killed the Prom Queen
In 2000, Jona and his friend JJ Peters started the band I Killed the Prom Queen in their hometown of Adelaide, Australia. Jona was the band's lead guitarist. The group became very popular in the Australian metal scene.
They released two full albums, an EP, and other recordings. From 2004 to 2007, Jona also acted as the band's manager. The band decided to split up in 2007 but got back together in 2008 for a final "Say Goodbye" tour.
Joining Bleeding Through

Playing in Bring Me the Horizon

Reuniting with I Killed the Prom Queen
In 2011, I Killed the Prom Queen got back together, and Jona rejoined them. This reunion led to Jona leaving Bring Me the Horizon in 2013, allowing him to focus on his original band full-time.
The band went on tour and released their third album, Beloved, in 2014. They took a break from making music in 2017.
