Jonantan Villal began his football journey with the Atlanta United academy. He joined their youth program when it first started in 2016. This is where he learned many of his skills.
In 2021, while still part of the academy, Jonantan started playing for Atlanta United 2. This team is like a stepping stone for young players to get ready for professional football. He played in the USL Championship league.
Becoming a Pro Player
On January 7, 2022, Jonantan took a big step in his career. He signed his first full professional contract with Atlanta United 2. This meant he was officially a professional footballer.
Moving to Atlético San Luis
