Jonas Mačiulis (born on February 10, 1985) is a famous Lithuanian basketball player. He is now a basketball executive. He works as the general manager for Lietkabelis Panevėžys in the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL). Jonas is 1.98 meters (6 feet 6 inches) tall. He mostly played as a small forward. He was a key player for the Lithuanian national team. In 2015, he was chosen for the All-EuroBasket Team. That year, Lithuania won the silver medal at the EuroBasket.
Jonas Mačiulis also plays for a team called Reunion in the Kaunas Basketball League.

Early Basketball Days
Jonas Mačiulis started his basketball journey in the LKAL. This was Lithuania's second-tier basketball league. In 2003, he helped his team, LKKA-Žalgiris from Kaunas, win the league title.
Jonas Mačiulis's Professional Career
Jonas Mačiulis became a professional player in 2004. He joined the Nevėžis team in the Lithuanian League. In his first season, he scored about 13.6 points and grabbed 5.8 rebounds per game.
In 2005, he signed with Žalgiris, another Lithuanian team. With Žalgiris, he won many titles:
- Two Baltic League championships (2006, 2008)
- Three Lithuanian League championships (2006, 2007, 2008)
- Two Lithuanian Cups (2007, 2008)
Jonas kept getting better each year. In the 2006–07 season, he averaged 12.7 points and 5.0 rebounds in the EuroLeague. In the 2008–09 EuroLeague season, he scored a career-high 14.0 points per game. On January 8, 2009, he scored 29 points against SLUC Nancy. He also set a Lithuanian League record on April 8, 2009. He made 8 three-point field goals in a row against Lietuvos Rytas.
Playing in Italy and Greece
On July 1, 2009, Jonas joined Olimpia Milano in Italy. He played well there until he got a knee injury. This injury stopped him from playing for nine months. Because of this, Olimpia Milano did not offer him a new contract.
In February 2012, he returned to Lithuania. He played for Baltai for free while looking for a new team. In his first game back, he scored 16 points and helped Baltai win. Later that year, in April 2012, he signed with Montepaschi Siena in Italy for the rest of their season.
In July 2012, Jonas moved to Greece. He signed a one-year deal with Panathinaikos. He extended his contract for two more years in July 2013. However, he left the team in June 2014.
Time with Real Madrid
On July 26, 2014, Jonas signed a two-year deal with Real Madrid in Spain. The 2014–15 season was amazing for him and his team. Real Madrid won the EuroLeague title. They beat Olympiacos 78–59 in the final game.
Real Madrid also won the Spanish League championship that season. They swept Barcelona 3–0 in the finals. Winning both the EuroLeague and Spanish League meant Real Madrid achieved the "triple crown." This is a huge achievement in European basketball. In 2015, Jonas was also named Lithuanian Player of the Year for the first time. He signed a new contract with Real Madrid in May 2016. He left the team in March 2018.
Later Career and Retirement
After Real Madrid, Jonas played for Lokomotiv Kuban in Russia in March 2018. He left the team in July 2018. In August 2018, he joined AEK Athens in Greece. He extended his contract with AEK in August 2020.
On September 9, 2021, Jonas Mačiulis announced he was retiring from professional basketball.
Playing for Lithuania's National Team
Jonas Mačiulis played for many Lithuanian junior national teams.
- He won a silver medal at the 2003 FIBA Under-19 World Cup.
- He earned a bronze medal at the 2004 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship.
- He won a silver medal at the 2005 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship.
- He won a gold medal at the 2005 FIBA Under-21 World Cup.

Jonas also played for the senior Lithuanian national basketball team.
- At EuroBasket 2007, Lithuania won bronze medals. This was his first tournament with the national team.
- In the 2008 Summer Olympics, his team finished in 4th place.
- He won a bronze medal at the 2010 FIBA World Championship.
- At EuroBasket 2013, Lithuania finished as runner-up, winning silver. Jonas played one of his best games for the national team in the semi-finals against Croatia.
- He also played in EuroBasket 2009 and the 2012 Summer Olympics.
- In EuroBasket 2015, he had an amazing game against Georgia. He scored 34 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, and had 4 steals. Lithuania won the game 85–81.

- Lithuania won their second straight EuroBasket silver medal that year. Jonas was chosen for the EuroBasket All-Tournament Team. He averaged 13.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.9 steals per game.
After Playing Basketball
After retiring from playing, Jonas Mačiulis became a consultant for Nevėžis Kėdainiai in the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL). On June 10, 2022, he became the sports director for Nevėžis.
On November 18, 2024, Jonas Mačiulis was named the general manager of Lietkabelis Panevėžys.
