Jontavius Morris was born on December 16, 1993. He is an American football coach and a former player. He used to play as a defensive tackle, which is a position on the defense line. Currently, he works as a graduate assistant coach at Purdue University.
Morris played college football at two different universities. He also played in the National Football League (NFL) for a short time.
Playing Football in College
Jontavius Morris started his college football journey at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He played there for three years, from 2012 to 2014. In 2014, the university decided to stop its football program for a while.
Because of this, Morris moved to a new school. He transferred to Western Kentucky University in 2015. There, he continued to play college football.
Playing in the NFL
After college, Jontavius Morris hoped to play professional football. He was not chosen by any team in the NFL Draft. This means he was an "undrafted free agent."
However, on May 1, 2016, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed him. This gave him a chance to play in the National Football League.
Coaching Career
After his time as a player, Jontavius Morris started a new path in football. He became a coach.
In 2018, he joined Purdue University. He works there as a graduate assistant. In this role, he helps the main coaches with training and other team tasks.
