Jordan Green's Football Journey
Early Career and First Steps
Jordan Green began his football training at the Fulham academy. He spent five years there, learning the game. However, when he was 16, Fulham decided to release him. The coaches thought he was too small at the time, as he was only five feet tall.
After leaving Fulham, Jordan played for non-league teams. He joined Phoenix in the Central Midlands League. In November 2014, he moved to Southern Football League Division One side Banbury United. During the 2014–15 season, he scored four goals in 26 league games for Banbury. While playing for Banbury United, Jordan also worked part-time. He stacked shelves at a local Waitrose supermarket.
Joining a Premier League Club: AFC Bournemouth
At the end of the 2015 season, Jordan thought about quitting football. But his agent found him a chance to try out for Premier League team AFC Bournemouth. Jordan paid for his own trial. He trained with the under-21 coach, Stephen Purches. He also played well in friendly matches against Arsenal and Salisbury.
Jordan impressed the club so much that they offered him a one-year contract. This was a big step up for him.
Loan Spells from Bournemouth
