Jordan Michael Lewis, born on April 24, 1986, is a former professional Australian rules football player. He played for two teams in the Australian Football League (AFL): the Hawthorn Football Club and the Melbourne Football Club.

Jordan Lewis's AFL Journey
Jordan Lewis had an amazing career in the AFL. He played for 15 seasons, from 2005 to 2019. He was known for being a tough and skilled midfielder and half-back.
Playing for Hawthorn
Jordan was chosen by the Hawthorn Football Club in the 2004 AFL Draft. He was the 7th player picked overall. Hawthorn really wanted him, so they traded with another team to get an earlier pick.
He played his very first AFL game in 2005. That year, he was named Hawthorn's best first-year player. He was also nominated for the AFL Rising Star award, which celebrates the best young players.
In 2008, Jordan was part of the Hawthorn team that won the AFL Grand Final. This was a huge win for the club!
By 2012, Jordan became a vice-captain for Hawthorn. He even led the team when the main captain, Luke Hodge, was injured.
In 2014, Jordan played his 200th AFL game. This is a big milestone for any player. That same year, he won his third premiership with Hawthorn. He also won the Peter Crimmins Medal, which is given to Hawthorn's best and fairest player.
By the end of the 2015 season, Jordan Lewis had won four AFL premierships. This made him one of only a few players at the time to achieve this incredible feat.
Moving to Melbourne
After the 2016 season, Jordan Lewis moved to the Melbourne Football Club. He was traded to the Demons to continue his career.
On August 20, 2019, Jordan announced that he would retire from playing at the end of that season. Both of his AFL coaches, Alastair Clarkson from Hawthorn and Simon Goodwin from Melbourne, were there to support him at his retirement announcement.

Life Outside Football
Jordan Lewis is married to Lucy. They have three sons named Hugh, Freddie, and Ollie. His first son was born in 2015, just days before Jordan played in the 2015 AFL Grand Final. He even carried his newborn son onto the stage when he received his premiership medal!
After Playing
After retiring from playing, Jordan Lewis didn't leave football completely. He became a part-time coach at the Melbourne Football Club. He helps players improve their kicking skills and supports younger players as they develop.
Jordan also works as an expert commentator for Fox Footy and SEN. This means you can hear him sharing his knowledge and opinions about games on TV and radio.
