Jordan Michael Lewis (born 24 April 1986) is a former professional Australian rules football player. He played for two teams, the Hawthorn Football Club and the Melbourne Football Club, in the top league, the Australian Football League (AFL). He was known as a tough and skilled player in the midfield and defence.

Playing Career in the AFL

Hawthorn Football Club

Jordan Lewis was chosen by the Hawthorn Football Club in the 2004 AFL Draft. He was the 7th player picked overall. Hawthorn really wanted him and even traded with another club to make sure they could get him. He played his first AFL game in 2005.

In his first year, Jordan was voted Hawthorn's best new player. He was also nominated for the AFL Rising Star award, which celebrates promising young players.

A big moment for Jordan came in 2008 when he was part of the Hawthorn team that won the AFL championship, called a "premiership." They beat Geelong in the Grand Final.

In 2012, Jordan was named a vice-captain for Hawthorn. This meant he helped lead the team, and even took over as captain when the main captain, Luke Hodge, was injured.

Jordan played his 200th AFL game in 2014. That same year, he won his third premiership with Hawthorn. He also won the Peter Crimmins Medal, which is Hawthorn's award for their best and fairest player of the season.

By the end of the 2015 season, Jordan Lewis had won four AFL premierships. This is a huge achievement, and at the time, only a few other players had done it.

Melbourne Football Club

After the 2016 season, Jordan moved to the Melbourne Football Club. This was a big change after many years at Hawthorn.

On 20 August 2019, Jordan announced that he would stop playing professional football at the end of that season. Both of his AFL coaches, Alastair Clarkson and Simon Goodwin, were there to support him when he made the announcement. He played a total of 320 games and kicked 161 goals in his career.
