Jordan Peter Murrell (born May 2, 1993) is a Canadian professional soccer player. He plays as a defender, which means his main job is to stop the other team from scoring goals. Jordan has played for several teams in North America and also represented Canada in international youth tournaments.

Playing Soccer
Starting Out
Jordan Murrell started playing soccer when he was just four years old. His first team was Pinnstars FC in London, England, where he was born.
When he was older, from 2009 to 2011, Jordan joined the Toronto FC Academy. This is a special training program for young soccer players. He started with the Under-16 team and then moved up to the Under-18 team. By 2011, he became the captain of the Under-18 squad, showing his leadership skills.
College and Early Teams
In 2011, Jordan decided to play college soccer in the United States. He attended Syracuse University and played for their team, the Syracuse Orange, from 2011 to 2014. He played in many games and even scored some goals during his college career.
While he was still in college, Jordan also played for two other teams during the summer breaks. In 2013, he played for Ocean City Nor'easters, and in 2014, he played for K-W United FC. These teams were part of a league called the USL PDL, which helps young players gain experience.
Playing for Real Monarchs
After college, in 2015, Jordan was chosen in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft. This is like a draft for professional soccer players in the United States. He was picked by Real Salt Lake.
He then signed with Real Monarchs SLC, which was Real Salt Lake's team in the USL, a professional league. He played 17 games for them in 2015.
Time with Pittsburgh and Reno
In 2016, Jordan joined the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. He played 12 games for this team.
Later that year, in December 2016, Jordan signed with a new team called Reno 1868 FC. This team was just starting out in the USL. In July 2017, he had a great game where he scored two goals in a big 9–0 win. He played in 27 games for Reno that season, which was the most games he had played in a single season up to that point. He continued to play for Reno in 2018.
Back in Canada with Valour FC
In 2019, Jordan returned to Canada and signed with Valour FC. This team plays in the Canadian Premier League, which is Canada's top professional soccer league. He played his first game for Valour on May 1.
During his time with Valour FC, Jordan received a suspension for an incident that happened during a game. He was released from his contract with Valour in January 2020.
Las Vegas Lights
After leaving Valour FC, Jordan joined Las Vegas Lights FC in January 2020. This team plays in the USL Championship, another professional soccer league in the United States. He played 11 games for them.
Playing for Canada
Jordan Murrell has also played for Canada's national youth teams.
- In January 2011, he played for Canada's Under-18 national team in Costa Rica. He even scored a goal in a friendly game against Costa Rica's Under-18 team.
- In July 2012, he was called up to the Canada Under-20 national team. He even captained the team in one of their friendly matches.
- In February 2013, he was part of Canada's team for the 2013 CONCACAF U-20 Championship, which is a big tournament for Under-20 teams in North and Central America.
- In May 2016, Jordan played for Canada's Under-23 national team in two friendly games.
