Kids Encyclopedia Facts

Jorge Llopis (born in 1919, died in 1976) was a talented Spanish writer, actor, and playwright. He was especially known for his funny and clever works. He wrote plays that made people laugh and books that playfully made fun of serious topics.

His most famous play was Los Pelópidas. It was a two-act comedy that poked fun at ancient Greek tragedy plays. He also created a funny book called Las mil peores poesías de la lengua castellana (which means "The Thousand Worst Poems in the Castilian Language"). This book was a fake collection of "bad" poems, but it was actually very clever and humorous.
