José Luis González Sánchez is a famous Spanish former middle-distance runner. He was born on December 8, 1957, in Villaluenga de la Sagra, a town in Toledo, Spain. José Luis was known for his incredible speed in races like the 1500 metres and the mile run.

He represented Spain at the Olympics three times. He competed in the Olympic Games in 1980, 1984, and 1992. His best Olympic result was reaching the semi-finals in the 1500 metres race in 1980.
