Josefine Preuß was born in Zehdenick, a town near Berlin in Brandenburg, Germany. She has an older sister. When she was young, Josefine was very active. In 1993, she won the Brandenburg Junior Championships in rhythmic gymnastics.

Breakthrough on TV

Josefine's big break came when she starred as Anna Reichenbach in the children's TV show Schloss Einstein. She was on the show from 1999 to 2001. This show helped her become a recognized young actress.

Popular TV Shows and Movies

After Schloss Einstein, Josefine appeared in many other TV shows and movies. She won the German TV Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2005. Since 2005, she has played Lena, the main character in the family comedy Türkisch für Anfänger (which means Turkish for Beginners).
