Josefine Preuß (born January 13, 1986) is a German actress. She is famous for her work in television shows and movies, especially those made for children and families.
Early Life and Beginnings
Josefine Preuß was born in Zehdenick, a town near Berlin in Brandenburg, Germany. She has an older sister. When she was young, Josefine was very active. In 1993, she even won the Brandenburg Junior Championships in rhythmic gymnastics.
Acting Career
Josefine Preuß started her acting career early. Her first big role was playing Anna Reichenbach in the children's TV show Schloss Einstein (which means Einstein Castle). She was on this show from 1999 to 2001.
After Schloss Einstein, Josefine appeared in many other TV shows and movies. In 2005, she won the German TV Award for Best Supporting Actress, showing how talented she was.
One of her most popular roles was Lena in the family comedy series Türkisch für Anfänger (Turkish for Beginners). She played the main character in this show starting in 2005. This role made her very well-known.
Besides acting in front of the camera, Josefine also hosts a TV show for children about books called Quergelesen, where she is known as "Josi."
She has also lent her voice to animated movies. She was the German voice for Mary Katherine in the 2013 film Epic. Later, in 2016, she voiced the main character, Judy Hopps, in the German version of the popular Disney movie Zootropolis.
