Joshua "Josh" Lamont Bostic (born May 12, 1987) is an American who used to play professional basketball. He is now a coach. He works as a player development coach for the Houston Rockets. This team is part of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

College Basketball Success
Josh Bostic played college basketball at the University of Findlay. He became a very successful player there. He was named the best player in NCAA Division II by several groups. These included the NABC and the Division II Bulletin. He also won the Midwest Region Player of the Year award. The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) named him their Player of the Year.
In 2009, Josh led the Findlay Oilers to win the NCAA Division II championship. This was a huge achievement for his team. During the 2008–09 season, he played incredibly well. He scored about 18.6 points per game. He also grabbed 6.2 rebounds and made 2.9 assists. Plus, he had 2.4 steals in each game.
Professional Basketball Journey
After college, Josh Bostic was not chosen in the 2009 NBA draft. This means no NBA team picked him right away. However, he still started his professional career.
Starting in Japan and the D-League
In August 2009, Josh signed his first professional contract. He joined the Kyoto Hannaryz team in Japan. He played for them during the 2009–10 season.
Later, in November 2010, he was picked by the New Mexico Thunderbirds. This team was in the NBA D-League. The D-League is now called the G-League. It's like a minor league for the NBA.
Playing in Europe
Josh Bostic then moved to Europe to play. In August 2011, he signed with Liège Basket in Belgium. He played so well that he was named to the Eurobasket.com All-Belgian League 1st Team in 2012.
After that, in June 2012, he signed a two-year deal with Belfius Mons-Hainaut, another Belgian team. He played there for one season. In June 2013, he moved to France. He signed with Élan Chalon. He left that team in November 2013. Soon after, he joined Spartak Saint Petersburg in Russia. He finished the season with them.
Back to the US and More European Teams
In September 2014, Josh signed with the Detroit Pistons in the NBA. But he was later released by the team in October. He then joined the Grand Rapids Drive in the NBA D-League. He was an "affiliate player," meaning he was connected to the Pistons. He was released by the Drive in January 2015. The very next day, he signed with Spirou Charleroi in Belgium.
In February 2016, he moved to Latvia. He signed with VEF Rīga for the rest of that season. Then, in August 2016, he went to Italy. He signed with Juvecaserta Basket for the 2016–17 season.
In October 2017, Josh signed with Zadar in Croatia. He had a fantastic half-season there. He was even named the MVP (Most Valuable Player) of December in the ABA League. In January 2018, he left Zadar. He then signed with Dinamo Sassari in Italy.
Josh returned to Italy in August 2020. He signed a one-year deal with Reggio Emilia. Before that season ended, in February 2021, he moved to New Basket Brindisi. In June 2022, he signed with Anwil Włocławek in Poland. His last team as a player was CSM Oradea in 2023.
Life After Playing
In October 2023, Josh Bostic started a new chapter in his career. He joined the Houston Rockets as a player development coach. In this role, he helps players improve their skills.
