Josie Bissett (born October 5, 1970) is an American actress. Her real name is Jolyn Christine Heutmaker. She is famous for playing Jane Mancini in the TV show Melrose Place from 1992 to 1999. She has also appeared in many TV movies over the years.

Early Life and Start in Acting
Josie Bissett grew up in Seattle, Washington. She started her career early, at just 12 years old. She worked as a model, appearing in magazines and TV commercials.
Her Acting Career
Josie Bissett's first acting role was in a horror movie called Hitcher in the Dark in 1989. She decided to use her mother's maiden name, Bissett, as her stage name. This was because her original last name, Heutmaker, was hard for people to say.
TV Shows and Movies
In 1990, Josie joined the TV show The Hogan Family. She had a regular role for two seasons. In 1992, she got a big role as Jane Andrews-Mancini in the popular show Melrose Place. She stayed on the show for many years. She took a break from the show for a while but came back for its final season. Later, in 2009 and 2010, she appeared in the new version of Melrose Place, playing Jane again.
Josie has been in many TV movies. Some of these include The Fire Above, Dare to Love, Deadly Vows, and I Do, They Don't. She also made guest appearances in other TV shows. For example, she was in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in 2003. From 2008, she had a recurring role in the TV series The Secret Life of the American Teenager. She also starred in the movie The Other Woman, which came out in 2008.
Her first big movie role was in 1991. She appeared in Oliver Stone's film The Doors. She played the girlfriend of the band's guitarist, Robby Krieger. Other movies she has been in include Book of Love and Mikey.

Josie Bissett has also hosted TV shows about parenting. One show was called Parenting & Beyond. It gave parents ideas for everyday problems. She also hosted a special show for PBS called Teach More, Love More. This show followed families with young children.
She has been on the covers of many magazines. These include TV Guide, Rolling Stone, and Entertainment Weekly. She has also been the face of several big advertising campaigns. These include Neutrogena skin care and Dr. Scholl's foot care products.
In 1997, Josie was a spokesperson for Lee National Denim Day. This event helped raise money to fight breast cancer. The money went to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
Josie has also helped create books. She co-edited two books called Little Bits Of Wisdom and Making Memories. These books share parenting stories and advice from parents around the world. In 2008, she wrote her own children's book called Tickle Monster.
Personal Life
In 1992, Josie Bissett married actor Rob Estes. He also starred with her on Melrose Place. They had two children together. They decided to divorce in January 2006.
Josie lives in Seattle. She married Thomas Doig on July 4, 2017.
