José Agustín Mauri (born May 16, 1996) is a professional football player. He plays as a midfielder, which means he helps both defend and attack on the field. José was born in Argentina, but he also has Italian family roots. He even played for Italy's youth national teams!

José Mauri's Club Journey
Playing for Parma
José Mauri started his professional career at Parma. He played his first game for the team on December 3, 2013. This was during a Coppa Italia match, where Parma won 4–1 against A.S. Varese 1910.
On April 11, 2015, José scored a very important goal. It was the only goal in a 1–0 win against Juventus. At the time, Parma was in last place, and Juventus was leading the league! José said it was "the happiest day of my life."
Time at AC Milan
In 2015, José Mauri joined AC Milan. He signed a four-year contract with the famous club. His first full game for Milan was on December 1, 2015, in a Coppa Italia match against Crotone. Milan won that game 3–1 after extra time.
Loan to Empoli
On August 30, 2016, José Mauri was loaned to another Serie A club, Empoli, for one season. This meant he played for Empoli for a year before returning to AC Milan.
Moving to Talleres
After his time in Italy, José Mauri moved to Argentina. On September 27, 2019, he joined Talleres de Córdoba, a team in the Argentine Primera División.
Playing for Sporting Kansas City
On August 5, 2021, José Mauri signed with Sporting Kansas City, an MLS team in the United States. He played for them for about a year and a half. In April 2022, he and the club decided to end his contract.
Back in Argentina with Sarmiento
José Mauri returned to Argentina on December 12, 2022. He joined Sarmiento, another club in the Argentine Primera División. He signed a one-year contract.
Unfortunately, on February 6, 2023, he got a serious injury. He tore a ligament in his left knee, which meant he couldn't play for 6 to 8 months. He worked hard to recover and extended his contract with Sarmiento until December 2024.
Return to Italy with Cosenza
On August 9, 2024, José Mauri went back to Italy. He signed with Cosenza, a team in Serie B. He signed for one season, with a chance to stay for a second. However, on January 20, 2025, he left Cosenza by agreement with the club.
International Football
José Mauri has family from Italy, so he could choose to play for either Argentina or Italy. He played for Italy's youth teams, like the Under-16 and Under-17 squads. However, he later decided that he wanted to play only for Argentina's national team in the future.
Family Life
José Mauri has an older brother named Juan Mauri. Juan is also a football player! Interestingly, both brothers signed with Milan at the same time.
