Joy J. Kaimaparamban, born on October 11, 1939, is a well-known Indian writer. He mainly writes novels and short stories in Malayalam, which is a language spoken in Kerala, India.
He grew up in a regular family in Kerala. Later, he became an English teacher and taught in many schools there. Mr. Kaimaparamban started writing when he was quite young and is still writing today! He lives in a small village called Vayalar in the Alappuzha district with his family.
He has written many novels, plays, and over 100 short stories. His books have been published by well-known companies like DC Books. His stories and plays have even been broadcast on All India Radio.
Joy J. Kaimaparamban has received important awards for his writing. In 1977, he won the Tagore Award for his first novel, Urayoorunna Pakalukal. He also won the Kunkumam Prize in 1990 for his novel Theerabhoomikal. He has also written books in English, including The Azure of Solicitude and The Ayurvedic Healer.
