A Sad Day
On May 21, 1976, Juan Manuel Santisteban was competing in the 1976 Giro d'Italia. This is another very famous and difficult cycling race. During the first stage of the race, he had an accident. He crashed and hit his head. Sadly, he passed away from his injuries. He was only 31 years old. His death was a very sad event for the cycling world.
