Juan Santiago is a small town, also known as a municipality, in the Dominican Republic. It is located in the Elías Piña province.
History
Juan Santiago was first made a municipal district of the nearby town of Comendador. This happened on August 12, 1978, through a special law. Later, it was given the higher status of a full municipality. A municipality is like a self-governing town or city.
