Playing Career Highlights

Juan Sol started his football journey in his home country, Spain. He played for two of Spain's biggest football clubs. These were Valencia and Real Madrid.

Time at Valencia CF

Juan Sol first joined Valencia in 1965. He played there for ten years until 1975. During this time, he played in 229 matches for the club. He even scored 14 goals, which is quite good for a defender!

Moving to Real Madrid

In 1975, Juan Sol moved to another giant Spanish club, Real Madrid. He played for Real Madrid for four years, until 1979. He played in 110 matches for them.

Return to Valencia

After his time at Real Madrid, Juan Sol returned to Valencia in 1979. He played for two more years before ending his career in 1981. In total, he played 347 matches in his club career.

Playing for Spain

Juan Sol also played for the Spanish national team. He represented his country in 28 matches. He scored one goal for Spain. This goal happened during a qualifying match for the 1974 World Cup against Greece. Spain won that game 3-1.
