Juan de Dios Román Seco (born 17 December 1942 – died 28 November 2020) was a very important Spanish handball coach. He helped lead the Spain men's national handball team for many years. He was also the President of the Royal Spanish Handball Federation from 2008 to 2013. This means he was in charge of handball in Spain for a while.

Juan de Dios Román's Coaching Career
Juan de Dios Román started coaching in 1971. He coached the Atlético Madrid BM club team for a long time, from 1971 to 1985. He came back to coach them again from 1990 to 1992. Later, he also coached another club team, BM Ciudad Real, from 2003 to 2005.
His biggest role was coaching the Spain men's national handball team. He led the national team twice. First, from 1985 to 1988, and then again from 1995 to 2000. Under his guidance, the Spanish national team became very strong. They won many medals in big international competitions.

Club Team Success
When he coached club teams, they won several titles:
- Spanish League Champion: His teams won the top Spanish league, called Liga ASOBAL, many times. They were champions in 1979, 1981, 1983, 1984, and 1985 with Atlético Madrid. He also won it in 2004 with BM Ciudad Real.
- Spanish Cup Winner: His teams also won the Copa del Rey de Balonmano (King's Cup) in 1978, 1979, 1981, and 1982.
- ASOBAL Cup Winner: They won the Copa ASOBAL in 2004 and 2005.
- European Champions League Finalist: His teams reached the final of the EHF Champions League, which is a very big European competition, in 1985 and 2005.
