Juandalynn Givan is an American lawyer, business owner, and politician. She is a member of the Democratic Party. Since 2010, she has served in the Alabama House of Representatives, which is a part of the government that makes laws for the state of Alabama. She represents District 60, an area that includes parts of Jefferson County, Alabama.
In January 2025, Givan announced she was running for Mayor of Birmingham.

Early Life and Schooling
Juandalynn Givan was born and grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. Her parents are Leroy and Patricia Givan.
She went to Miles College and earned a degree in Political Science in 1992. Political science is the study of government and how it works. After college, she went to Miles Law School and graduated with a law degree in 1996.
Early in her career, she worked for Birmingham's Mayor Richard Arrington Jr. She helped with important city projects. Later, she worked for the Housing Authority of the Birmingham District, helping with community housing programs.
Career as a Lawyer and Business Owner
In 2004, Givan started her own law firm called Givan & Associates. A law firm is a business where lawyers help people with legal problems. Her firm helps with government issues, business disagreements, and planning for the future.
She also runs an organization called That Girl Inc. This group focuses on public speaking and providing mentorship, which is when an experienced person guides and helps someone with less experience.

Alabama House of Representatives
