Early Films and Success
His very first full-length movie was Alas de mariposa (1991). This film was a big success! It won the Golden Shell award at the San Sebastián Film Festival. This is a very important prize in the world of cinema.
With the money he earned from Alas de mariposa, he made his second movie, La madre muerta
