Julián López Escobar (born October 3, 1982), often called El Juli, is a famous bullfighter from Spain. He became well-known for starting his career at a very young age.

Early Life and Career
Julián López Escobar first faced a bull when he was only nine years old. His family then enrolled him in the Madrid Academy of Tauromachy, a special school for bullfighting.
After studying for several years, Julián moved to Mexico. He went there to perform in bullfights because Spain required junior bullfighters, called novilleros, to be at least 16 years old.
First Steps as a Bullfighter
On March 16, 1997, when he was just 14, López Escobar had his first official bullfight in Texcoco, Mexico. He did very well, receiving a standing ovation and two bulls' ears, which is a sign of a great performance.
About a year later, on September 18, 1998, López Escobar became a full professional bullfighter. This step is called receiving his alternativa. It happened in Nîmes, France. At 15 years old, he became the youngest professional bullfighter in the sport's history.
Achievements and Challenges
By the time he was 17, Julián had become the highest-paid bullfighter ever. He often placed his own banderillas, which are spiked banners. This job is usually done by another person called a banderillero.
In 1999, Julián performed in 134 bullfights. In three of these, he was the only bullfighter. During the San Fermin festival in Pamplona, Spain, in 2010, he was injured and needed to go to the hospital after a bull hit him.
Personal Life
Julián López Escobar married Rosario Domecq Márquez on October 20, 2007. They had twins, a girl named Rosario and a boy named Fernando, on September 6, 2011. Later, on March 26, 2014, they welcomed another daughter named Isabel.
