Julia Zemiro (born 14 April 1967) is a talented Australian TV presenter, radio host, actress, singer, writer, and comedian. She was born in France but grew up in Australia. Many people know her as the host of the fun music quiz show RocKwiz. Julia also speaks French very well and has even acted in French plays and movies.

Julia's Early Life and School Days
Julia Zemiro's mother, Jane, was a teacher and university expert from Queensland, Australia. Her father, Claude, was French and used to own restaurants. When Julia was about two and a half years old, her family moved from France to Australia in 1970.
Julia went to Sydney Girls High School. Later, she studied at the University of Sydney. In 1992, she moved to Melbourne to attend the Victorian College of the Arts Drama School. She finished her acting studies there in 1994.
Julia's Acting Career
After finishing drama school, Julia started working with the Bell Shakespeare Company. She traveled around performing in plays. Julia also appeared in short films like The Extra and Muffled Love. She won the Tropfest Best Actress award twice for these films. She won in 1999 for The Extra and again in 2001 for Muffled Love.
Julia also wrote and performed a show called Backpackers for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2000. She acted in musicals too, including Eurovision, the Musical (2003) and Eürobeat: Almost Eurovision (2006).
Julia is very good at Theatresports, which is a type of improvised acting. She performed with Impro Melbourne and was part of the improvised stage show Spontaneous Broadway. In 2014, Julia acted in the play Cyrano de Bergerac with the Sydney Theatre Company.
Julia on Television
Julia Zemiro first became a television presenter on a show called World Telly 2. She had also been part of a comedy group on the first World Telly show. These shows were broadcast by ABC's international channel.
While working with the Bell Shakespeare Company, Julia often appeared on the TV show Good News Week. She also wrote and performed for two seasons of Totally Full Frontal, playing more than 30 different characters. In 1999, she was in the short film The Extra.
Since 2005, Julia has been the host of RocKwiz on SBS. This is a popular music quiz show often filmed at The Espy.
Julia has done many other TV shows. She was a judge on LifeStyle Food's Great BBQ Challenge in 2006 and 2007. In 2006, she appeared in the comedy show The Wedge.
In 2006, Julia hosted Song for the Socceroos on SBS. This show looked for a theme song for Australia's national soccer team, the Socceroos, for the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
In 2007, Julia won Australia's Brainiest TV Star. The same year, she was a contestant on Channel Seven's It Takes Two, a singing competition.
